When will my order be packaged and shipped?
Here at Cooper Safety we understand that quick shipping is a necessity when it comes to your safety. That is why we do our best to ship orders placed before 2:00 pm CST Monday - Friday, in the same day; any orders placed after 2:00 pm CST will be processed the next business day. Please note weekend and holiday orders will be processed on the next available business day.
What if one of the products I ordered isn’t in stock?
Our mission at Cooper safety is to always stock all of the products we have on our website, unless specifically mentioned (i.e. Special Order). However, due to demand and other factors some products are still making their way into our inventory. Please note, if one of the products ordered is still making its way into our inventory we will not send out the order until it is complete. Please keep in mind that in some instances, an “In-Stock” item may not have the exact quantity you are looking for. For example, say you are ordering 15 safety glasses and we only have 12 in stock, our policy is to order the additional 3 into inventory then ship your order out complete. If the order is time sensitive and you would like us to send what we have in stock, just let us know and we can split the order to send out what we have right away. You can also call 1.800.724.2596 and ask for exact inventory levels before your purchase.
How are my shipping costs estimated?
Shipping costs are based on the weight, dimensions, and the zip code of the shipping address. You can determine the estimated shipping cost for any order before checkout by using the shipping calculator located on the shopping cart page. Simply enter the zip code where the order will be shipped and the cart will update to show you the approximate cost to ship your order based on the service level selected.
Why does it matter if I am shipping to a business or residential address?
In the process of checking out, you are prompted with a question to determine the type of address you will be shipping to. The reason why we ask this is because it determines our final shipping rates and service options. For instance, a business address is not eligible for Economy shipping due to the type of service Economy is. It is beneficial for business addresses to be shipped UPS because it results in quicker shipping time. As for residential, you will most likely be given the option for both Economy and UPS depending on the nature of the product.
If the shipping method page does offer Economy when your address is in fact a business address, Cooper Safety does have the right to change the shipping service to the equivalent option (i.e. Economy to UPS Ground). In most cases, we will not increase the shipping rate we charge you. However, if the new charge is a significant difference, we will call you before we charge your credit card to approve the new shipping rate.
What shipping options are available?
We currently ship all orders via UPS or USPS Priority Mail. The shipping services that we offer include:
- Economy Shipping (Delivered by the post office, see below for more information)
- USPS Priority Mail (For Alaska and Hawaii orders only)
- UPS Ground
- UPS Next Day Air
- UPS 2nd Day Air
- UPS 3 Day Select
- UPS Early AM deliveries are upon request only
What is Economy shipping?
In the effort to provide our customers with affordable shipping with trusted carriers, we provide economy shipping (also known as Sure Post). This option is available to customers who order product below a certain weight limit, and delivering to a residential address. This shipping service is a partnership with both UPS and USPS. If you choose economy shipping, we send your package with UPS who will ultimately deliver it your local post office and it will be delivered by your postal worker.
Please note that this option is also available for APO addresses. And most packages will take between 4-5 days depending on your location in comparison of our warehouse in Wisconsin.
Why can’t I ship my order US Priority Mail?
We have found that is it more cost effective for our customers to use UPS services. However, if a customer is shipping to Hawaii or Alaska we allow US Priority Mail shipping because it is more cost effective in that case.
Does Cooper Safety have the ability to change my shipping method?
Cooper does reserve the right to change the shipping method; however, there are only a few instances when our warehouse would have to change shipping methods. For instance, if you choose economy shipping and our warehouse determines that the particular product does in fact weigh more than estimated due to technical errors, they may have to change it to UPS ground. If there is a difference in cost, you will be notified before this is done. If there is no difference in cost, you will not be notified.
Please notice that Cooper will not be changing an order to expedited shipping or vice versa unless necessary based on the nature of the product. In this case, we will notify you before sending out the package.
Can I ship internationally?

How long does shipping take?
We make every effort to ship all orders placed by 2:00 pm CST Monday - Friday that same day. Some orders may take up to two - three business days to process depending on stock levels. Delivery timeframes will depend on the service level offered. Please note, the first day of shipping starts the next business day of order placement.
- Economy – 4-5 Business days
- USPS Priority Mail* - 3-5 Business Days
- UPS Ground - 1-5 Business Days depending on your location
Expedited shipping will always be shipped out same day if ordered before 2:00pm CST, unless you are contacted by customer support.
- UPS 3 Day Select - End of the third business day
- UPS 2nd Day Air - End of second business day
- UPS Next Day Air - End of next business day
*NOTE: Some orders may not be eligible for shipping via USPS Priority Mail. If your order is eligible for shipping via Priority Mail this option will be presented to you at the time of checkout or in your shipping cost estimation.
Cooper Safety Guarantee
Customer Satisfaction is our top priority. We guarantee our items to be free from defects. Should a product be defective we will replace it within 30 days of purchase. Please call customer service (1-800-724-2596) to inform us about a defected product. If a replacement is unavailable, we will refund the purchase price.
If I am returning a product, do I have to pay for shipping?
We understand that ordering online can result in unexpected colors variations or wrong sizing. If we made a mistake we like to make up for it by paying for the return shipping. However, please note that if you ordered the wrong size, color etc. we will offer refunds but cannot offer to pay for return shipping.
